A trivet, also known as a 'hot plate,' is placed between the discada and the dining table to protect the table from heat damage.
Trivet also refers to tripods used to elevate pots from the coals of an open fire. (The word trivet itself ultimately comes from Latin tripes meaning "tripod".) Metal trivets are often tripod-like structures with three legs to support the trivet horizontal in order to hold the dish or pot above the table surface.

Essential accessory
If you're planning to use your disk to serve food as well as cook it, this is just essential. It's absolutely perfect. Put this trivet down on the middle of your table, and everybody can reach to serve themselves. Highly recommend adding the small cost to your order.

Be sure you add this to your order!!!
Excellent accessory for your disk. Works on the 24" disk as well. I added mine to my order thinking I couldn't go wrong with the price. Absolutely worth the money.

Perfect for serving directly from the discata!
We love cooking on the discada, but when you want to set a serving table, you will NEED this. It fits the discada, holding it completely level and keeps the heat off the table itself. I have 3 discatas and 3 disc trivets. Need I say more

Trivet for my disc
Purchased the trivet to go along with my 18" disc and lid. Boxed all together with padding. It fits the disc and is sturdy, well made.

Once again a quality product!
Does exactly what it is supposed to do, it keeps my 18" and 22" discs off of the tabletop. Quality craftsmanship and amazing delivery time at a great price.........Semper Fi, Russ

Table top stand
This puppy works great for holding the disk on the table, keeping the food warm. Can’t live without it.

Worked perfectly for my Disc.
The Trivet held my disk very well on my counter top and allowed for easy serving straight from the burner to the counter. Could not me more pleased.
