The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America.  The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

    Completes the camp kitchen!

Posted by Paul Fallon on 5th Aug 2017

Years ago, I camped with a friend that used a smaller disc and I began the search for one of my own. Finally discovered SouthWest Disc and immediately purchased the "Rio Grande". Love it! Very well built and makes cooking for a large group easy!

    Talk of the campsite

This wok made quick work of scrambled eggs and sausage, and everybody asked where I got it. Best part was that cleanup was a breeze.

Love this for my big meals

Posted by Andy Bordick on 17th Jul 2017

I love this disk. The handles are a life saver. The disk good terrific, but having borrowed one that was a little thicker, I wish it was just slightly thicker metal and a little less sloped on the sides. I will likely use this for the rest of my life. I would recommend this to anyone looking for one. Andy

We've been wanting this exact plow disc cooker for ourselves for years. Parents use the same and now we can finally cook all those amazing things.

    24 inch model is awesoms

Posted by Curt on 28th Jun 2017

Cooks nice and even, very solid construction...cleans easily...cannot wait to experience many dishes with this one. An idea for an accessory is a wall. Racket so I can hang it in my kitchen...it's too large to store in most kitchen cabinets, but can easily double as a work of art.
