The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America.  The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

Used this bad boy camping last weekend. It was amazing. Cooked breakfast and dinner for 13 people all in one swoop, and could have cooked way more. I totally recommend this for big families or large get togethers. They were also able to get it to me in less than 24 hours for local pick up!

    TOP NOTCH DISCO!

Posted by Miguel from El Paso, TX on 31st Jul 2013

I would like to start by thanking Southwest Disk for selling such a great product. I placed my order on Monday and received the disc and burner on Tuesday. Whomever sent my items I give them PROPS! I was like a little kid opening a gift on Christmas. The disc was enormous and the burner was inside another box. The quality and craftsmanship of the disc is unsurpassed. I have seen these discs here in town and was not interested in purchasing something mediocre. The burner was a must have with my new disc. I strongly recommend it. I purchased the height adjustment burner. Set up was a breeze, approximately ten minutes. Quality was also great. The adjustable legs are good addition to avoid getting tired while doing your cooking. The disc was prepped and couldn't wait to break it in. I went and got myself some discada and cooked it and wow it tasted awesome. Cooking was fun and the heat was distributed throughout so it took less time than expected. Don't think twice about the discs from Southwest Disks. You're going to be very happy! THANK YOU SOUTHWEST!

    Could not live without!

Posted by Josh on 24th Jun 2013

I recently got the chance to use one of these on a camping trip with 8 people. Easily cooked the best Fajitas I have ever tasted in no time at all. Enough food to keep us stuffing ourselves late into the night as we celebrated my friends engagement. 48 hours later and back in civilization I placed my order. I cannot wait for mine to arrive.

    Awesome

The discada came to my home well packaged and without a flaw. This is the big daddy discada! I cooked my first fajita the day after I received it and the food was tremendous. I know this will outlast me and I will hand it down to my great-grandchildren.

This disc was seasoned and ready for use as soon as I recieved it. I made chicken fajitas for six people with ease. This disc cooked like a charm. Great product there's nothing better than cooking outdoors.

    24" Disc Fryer/cooker

Posted by John S. on 27th May 2013

Very heavyduty and retains and distributes heat well. Cooks things up VERY fast! Would like Discada to offer a lightweight cooking cover for the disc. I like the fact that it came to me already 'seasoned/prepped' and ready to cook in.
