The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America. The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

Super cooker!
Received my new 24" Rio Grande just in time to try it for out-of-town company. Big success, even though I had never cooked in this fashion. If I hadn't ordered two already!... I'd order another! I do like the 24" model, even though I haven't tried the smaller 22" unit. Also, when I called Southwest Disk to get information before ordering, David was very helpful and well-versed on his products.

A Lot of Fun/Must Have
I have had this disk and burner for about a year now. I had never seen one here in New England before, even at tailgates. As an avid BBQ, Grilling and Cooking enthusiast, I'm always looking to try new things and this is it! Very large and indestructable. Makes the best Fajitas, fried fish, Buffalo Wings, Sausage and Peppers you name it. Searing is perfect as it gets much hotter than you can get on a stove. Sea Scallops with a squeeze of lemon was out of this world. Everyone should have one, especially at this price. You'll have it forever.

Class act, a clean well built cooker
With this disc, I can use it for every meal. So I don't need to take multipal pots and pans on outdoor excursions.

Very nice
This thing is top notch. Came ready to cook. It cooks really well and is very solid. Weighs a good bit which I like. For the money it's well worth it. Very impressed.

Rio Grande is Grand
The first meal I cooked was fajitas. I cooked my onions, bell peppers and jalapeños first, and then I pushed the veggies up on the side of the wok, and started heating the fajitas. The aroma from the wok was awesome; it smelled like my favorite Mexican restaurant when I order fajitas. Once the fajitas where good and brown I added the veggies back and cooked for a few more minutes. I hate to boost, but that was the best fajitas I’ve ever eaten. This wok is so simple to cook with; it takes no time to cook a meal. It is endless on what you can cook on this thing. My next meal is going to be fried fish and shrimp. Recommend you order the cover when buying your wok. I didn’t and now I will have to order one in the future. I did a lot of research before I bought this wok. I felt like this was the best wok and price for me and I’m totally satisfied. The wok is solid and heavy, which is what I wanted in order to keep it stable on the burner. If you are looking at getting a wok, you can’t go wrong with the Rio Grande.
