The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America.  The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

Received this and immediately opened the box to see what I am gifting my dad with for Christmas. He is going to love it. I loved it that I too will be ordering one for myself. Solid and sturdy. This was a great purchase. Thank you for providing an amazing product. I'll be back soon for my own purchase for myself.

    Southwest Dis

Posted by Kathy Contreras on 26th Oct 2020

I've been ordering disks from Southwest for the last 3 years to ship to Arizona. I use them as raffle prizes for the staff at Christmas and each year, I'm asked if I'll order more! Quick and thorough shipping and just a great product that is enjoyed! Thanks.

    24" Rio Grande Disco

Posted by JD on 6th Oct 2020

I usually build my own disco's but decided to give this one a try. It is nice and big. The handles are comfortable and don't get hot when cooking. The craftsmanship is superb. I would recommend that you season your disco before using. I like to cook bacon and use the drippings to season the metal disco. Then cook some potatoes in it and throw them away. Clean it and get it very hot, rub the bacon drippings around the disco and let it burn it. Keep applying the drippings until you get a nice dark finish on the bare metal. I cooked 10 lbs of fajitas on this the first day I got it. WOW it was so nice. Great Job
