The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America.  The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

    Amazing Quality

Posted by Unknown on 7th May 2020

So, I pretty much read every review on the website. I thought I had a pretty good idea what kind of quality I would see when my disk came in. Let me say the I was absolutely amazed at what showed up!! My wife made it home before I did, and I was surprised that it was still sitting on the porch when I got home. When I asked if she had seen it she advised she had seen it and couldn't pick it up so that is why it was still there. I opened it up and was AMAZED at the massive piece of steel that was in the box!! We pulled it out of the box and put it to work. My wife used to cook with one of these years ago and wanted one of her own for the house. The food was great and the disk performed great. My mother in-law has one from another company and she was so impressed she has decided to get a SW disk for my brother in-law. So nice to see a veteran making great products here in the USA. If you're on the fence hop on over to the SW side. You will pleased that you did!

This is one well built discada. Heavy duty construction and professional welds. This will definitely be something passed down generation to generation right next to my Lodge cast iron!

    Absolutely perfect

We love our new disk! It came already prepped so we made fajitas the night it arrived. The size was perfect for making meat and veggies in the center and warming tortillas on the edges. It cleaned easily. Beautifully handcrafted. The recipe book was a wonderful surprise bonus! I highly recommend this company!! We'll be ordering other products in the future.

    Better than expected

Posted by John Harrison on 16th Feb 2020

I ordered the largest discada, the adjustable burner and the cover. We love it. My granddaughter visited our home by herself over xmas while school was out and cooked two nights dinner all by herself on the discada. After her visit she called us to ask for her own discada, so she could cook for her family at home. So we got her the same exact set up. So if our granddaughter enjoys cooking as a hobby, we will sure enough support it. Southwest Disk supplies a great heavy product. Could not be happier. Thanks.

    Worth every penny!

The Discada is truly a work of art, as simple as it is. The initial seasoning is superb! I accidentally chose the wrong handles on my order and shot off an email to try and change the order (that night), didn't work. I'll live with the handles.
