The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America. The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

It's A Work Of Art
I've been looking for a Discada for a while after seeing my friends and stumbled across Southwest Disk. The Rio is fantastic, very heavy duty (will last a lifetime and more without a doubt), and the handles have very clean welds, and the price was right. If you are looking for a Discada / Disk look no further these are the best. You won't beat the price / quality anywhere. Thanks Southwest for a fantastic Discada!

True Southwest Style cooking
We love our discada! Customer service was awesome. I had a time crunch to meet in order to have it for our family camping trip. They came though and it arrived very quickly. It was preseasoned and I did another seasoning being at altitude with no issues. Using it for all meals was hands down a huge blessing as it does away with having to use multiple pans and dishes. Furthermore I wanted my 3 boys to have the camp cooking experiences that I was so fond of. This met and definitely exceed my expectations, so much so that a friend and coworker purchased one for himself! Love cooking on it! P.S. made in the U.S and veteran owned!

Works like a champ. I used this at our neighborhood cookout and everybody wants one now. Short cook time and great taste. Leaves more time for corn hole and beverages.

Everything it is supposed to be and more!!
A few of my friends have discadas, but not one from Southwest Disk. There's are OK, but mine is freaking awesome. The first dinner was 2 New York strips one medium well and one medium rare, asparagus, zucchini, mushrooms and onions were all cooked at the same time. Dinner for 2 in about 15 minutes. But again, Thank you for your Service!! I too am a veteran.
